MEET THE CREATOR OF THE PHONICS MAPPING METHOD
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Terri Bowersock lived for thirty years not being able to read past a third-grade level. With grit and determination, she hired a University Professor, specializing in learning disabilities, to help her learn to read. Frustrated after weeks of trying to understand the mishmash of letter sounds, confusing phonics rules, and the ever present exception to the rule, Terri asked the professor to give her just one phonics rule, for one letter, at a time, so she could figure it out herself. Scattering the Phonics Rules all over the living-room floor, Terri played with them until she saw a pattern. Using a Circle, Square and Squiggly Line, she organized EVERY SINGLE LETTER SOUND, PHONICS RULE AND EXCEPTION INTO AN INNOVATIVE SET OF PHONICS MAPS TO TEACH HERSELF TO READ & SPELL.
Unknowingly, Terri had created an innovative Phonics Mapping Method that could demystify and simplify reading and spelling. She diligently applied her own Phonics Mapping Method to her life. In no time at all, she taught herself to read at a Jr. College Level.
